American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Fort Myers is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Fort Myers follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Very Disappointing Customer Service I’ll start by saying that the women working at this establishment were all extremely rude and unfriendly. They constantly had angry, unhappy expressions and made customers feel unwelcome. It was very clear that there was a lack of proper customer service training. If you go there two hours before closing, you will immediately notice how unmotivated they seem. They make you feel like you’re bothering them just by being there. They rush you to finish cleaning up and constantly give you looks as if you shouldn’t even be there. Whatever you do, don’t go to this establishment one hour before closing if you expect good customer service! The staff seriously needs to learn how to smile, be polite, and treat customers with respect. After all, the customers are the ones supporting their business and ultimately paying their wages. Very disappointing experience.

I drove all the way from Sarasota just for the famous salt water bread (pão frances), when I asked if she could check that it did not have eggs, the lady said she couldn't, I asked if it was made in the same location and she said yes, but she would not bother the bakers to ask. Next time I'm visiting Sarasota I will make the drive to the Seabra Brazilian grocery store in Orlando and buy enough to freeze it for the month, they have great bread and display the ingredients very clearly, so you are not made to feel like you are an inconvenience to their life. Just to be fair, my husband and my son without an egg allergy had a couple of pastries and liked it. But we would never go back.

I am Brasilian(+American😉) and love coming here. I’m so glad I found it! The atmosphere is so much more comfortable compared to the other Brasilian places I’ve found in Fort Myers. I have not ordered many hot items off the menu except a pastel, which was enormous and delicious; I can say the quick grab items in the case are so good! I crave coxinhas and pão de queijo from time to time and this is now my “go-to place”👍 I brought my American husband and the woman behind the counter was so sweet to help explain things for him. My kids love it too! Obrigada 😊
